Worum es geht

Horsehair is used for buffing because it is soft enough not to mark a finish and long enough to spring back over an uneven surface. The large body covers a bag panel or a shoe in a single pass, which matters: buffing in patches leaves a patchy sheen.

Anwendung Schritt für Schritt

1Keep one brush per colour family. Pigment carries between items on the bristles.
2Buff in long strokes with the grain, not in circles.
3Comb the bristles out with a bristle brush occasionally.
4Store bristles-down or hanging so they keep their shape.

Was es nicht leistet

A buffing tool. It is too soft to lift soiling from a napped surface — that needs the suede brush and eraser.
