Worum es geht

Most damage during cleaning comes from the cloth, not the product: a rough kitchen towel scratches a finish and a coloured cloth can transfer dye into damp leather. These are undyed, lint-free and soft enough for aniline. Three cloths because the method needs three: one to apply, one to lift off, one to buff dry.

Anwendung Schritt für Schritt

1Rinse new sponges in clean water before first use.
2Keep one cloth for cleaning and one for conditioning. Do not swap them.
3Wash at 40 °C without fabric softener — softener leaves a film that transfers to the leather.
4Replace a sponge once it stops springing back.

Was es nicht leistet

Consumables. Expect to replace the sponges after roughly 10–15 cleaning cycles depending on how heavily soiled the work is.
