Leather Repair Patch Kit (Self-Adhesive)

Worum es geht

Used correctly these go behind the leather, not on top: slid through the tear to bridge it from the reverse so the visible edges can be brought back together. That is a holding repair that stops a tear growing. Used on top of a hole it is a patch and it will look like one — we would rather say that plainly than let it be discovered after purchase.

Anwendung Schritt für Schritt

1. 1Choose the closest tone from the six. Compare in daylight.
2. 2Cut the patch at least 15 mm larger than the tear on every side.
3. 3Slide it behind the leather, adhesive side up, through the tear.
4. 4Press the tear edges down onto it and weight the area for 24 hours.
5. 5Fill and recolour the seam line afterwards if it is a visible surface.

Was es nicht leistet

A holding repair that stops a tear spreading. The repair line stays visible at close range. On seating surfaces and other flex areas the bond will eventually work loose under repeated movement.
